1P2: INTRODUCTION

The aldol condensation reaction is recognized as one of the most fundamental tools for the construction of new carbon–carbon bonds in both the biochemical and purely chemical domains1. It is a wide spread reaction. There are a lot of reviews and books1-15 summarized the aldol chemistry which all covers the synthetics utility of aldol condensation, but according to my knowledge still no any review is summarized the application of aldol condensation in the field of biological synthesis and medicinal chemistry development. Current reviews deals to summarize the utilization of aldol condensation in the area of development of biologically active compound synthesis.
